In the BBG there are 8 steps for Choosing a Genre to Compose in. The book then asks you to keep some questions in mind. Answer the following questions:
What is my purpose with my research? Which genres are best for what I want to do?
How familiar is my audience with my topic? What assumptions might my audience make about my topic?
How will I connect with my audience?
What is the best mode for saying what I want to say?
What are my favorite genres to compose in and what are my strengths as a composer?
